About Dr. Linda Jennett

Background

Linda, also a native of Co Fermanagh, graduated with Honours from Queen’s University Belfast in 2006 and was awarded a number of prizes, which included the Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry Prize, the Orthodontics Prize, the Ralph J Smith Prize in Conservative Dentistry and the Emma Caldwell Prize in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology.

After completing a year of Vocational Training in General Dental Practice during which she was awarded a clinical case presentation prize, Linda became a Senior House Officer in the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast. Having gained experience in all hospital specialties and her MFDS examinations, a position in the paediatric dental department sparked her interest in pursuing a career in children’s dentistry.

Linda worked as a Staff Grade in Paediatric Dentistry and held a Clinical Teaching Fellow position. Following this she took up a specialist training post in paediatric dentistry which was based in the School of Dentistry and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, with a short period of time in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Upon completion of her training, she became registered as a Specialist Paediatric Dentist with the General Dental Council in 2018.

Linda has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education in 2019.

Linda has been part of our team in the Hermitage Medical Clinic for over 3 years. Her gentle manner and child centred approach aims ensure that, not only are children’s individual dental needs met, but that they develop a positive dental attitude, which will extend in adulthood.
